The.Steady.Practice

Where wellness is practiced, not perfected.

The Steady Practice is a wellness and educational extension of my work, created as a space to explore the parts of wellbeing that extend beyond therapy.

My work has always been rooted in an interest in the connection between mind, body, behavior, and the environments we move through every day.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, much of my professional life has focused on direct clinical care within mental and behavioral health. Over time, my learning has expanded beyond just psychotherapy and into integrative mental health, nervous-system-informed practices, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed appraoches, movement and fitness, and yoga.

While these approaches are different, I kept finding myself drawn to the same question:

How do we take what we know about ourselves and actually practice it in the lives we're living?

The Steady Practice grew from that intersection.

I believe our emotional well-being doesn't exist separately from our physical well-being, our routines, relationships, work, movement, stress, or the chapters of life we're moving through. And I don't believe wellness has to mean constantly trying to improve ourselves.

Sometimes it's about observing. Sometimes it's understanding a pattern. Sometimes it's moving our bodies, changing a routine, making space for rest, having a meaningful conversation, or becoming a little more intentional about how we're showing up.

The Steady Practice creates room to explore those connections through education, conversation, reflection, movement, and practical wellness experiences—outside the structure of psychotherapy.

Why “practice”?

Because wellness is rarely something we finally achieve.

We learn. We adjust. We get overwhelmed. We find something that works. Life changes, and we adjust again.

The goal isn't to do wellness perfectly. It's to better understand ourselves, develop practices that support us, and find realistic ways to feel more grounded, connected, and steady in the lives we're actually living.

The Steady Practice grew from my desire to create space for these conversations without turning every human experience into something that needs to be treated, fixed, optimized, or perfected.

It's a place to slow down enough to notice what's happening, understand ourselves a little differently, and become more intentional about what we want to practice moving forward.

Not perfectly. Steadily.

The Steady Practice is not psychotherapy.

While my clinical background naturally informs how I think about wellbeing, The Steady Practice provides educational and wellness-focused content, resources, and experiences. Participation in a Collaborative, subscribing to the mailing list, or engaging with Steady Practice content does not establish a therapist-client relationship and is not a substitute for individualized mental health treatment.

My psychotherapy services remain a separate clinical service for individuals seeking assessment, treatment, and therapeutic support.
